If you are looking for us, we are in the Chatrashala Complex over on Kasi Chetty Lane in Sowcarpet. The address is No. 11/ I. Anyone who has been to Sowcarpet knows that these lanes are always packed with traders and goods. It is a fast-paced environment and we fit right in. We focus on the import side of things here at Star Imports. Our space inside the complex is quite small, but we have learned how to use every corner for storage. It is a lot of manual work moving things through the narrow lanes, often using small trolleys or just carrying boxes by hand. We don't have a fancy website or a marketing team. Most of our business happens because someone told someone else about us. The office is usually hot and noisy, but that is just the way it is in this part of the city. We have a lot of regular traders who come by to see what has arrived. We keep our records in big ledgers and on an old computer that sometimes acts up. It is not a polished corporate environment at all. We are just a group of people who understand the import business and work hard to make sure the goods reach the right hands. It’s a busy life in Sowcarpet, but we enjoy the energy of the market and the people we meet every day.
