Sky Info Services is located at Old No 4 New No 9, United India Colony, 4th Cross Street Circular Road, Kodambakkam. We’ve been working out of this spot in Kodambakkam for a good number of years. It’s a small office space filled with computers, cables, and various pieces of hardware. Most of our day is spent looking at screens or taking apart laptops to see why they stopped working. United India Colony is a nice place to work, though the parking on the cross streets can be a real pain for our visitors. We started this because we liked fixing things. It’s more of a technical job than anything else. We don't have a big reception desk or a salesperson in a suit. You usually just walk in and talk to whoever is free. Sometimes we are out on site visits, helping someone with their office network, so the shop might be quiet for a few hours. We deal with a lot of cracked screens and slow hard drives. It’s the kind of work that requires a lot of patience. We’ve seen technology change so fast since we opened. We used to fix big desktop towers, and now it’s all tablets and slim laptops. We just keep learning as things change. It’s a small operation, just a couple of us who know our way around a motherboard. We stay busy enough without needing to be fancy about it.
