We’re located on the 3rd floor of the Mamanjee Centre, which is at S7-A in the Thiru-Vi-Ka Industrial Estate in Guindy. Sim Technologies Pvt Ltd has been here for a bit now. Being in Guindy means we’re surrounded by all sorts of factories and workshops. Our office is a bit of a climb if the lift is acting up, which happens more often than we’d like. Inside, it’s mostly computers and people trying to figure out technical problems. It’s not the quietest office because of the industrial estate noise outside, but we’ve gotten used to it. We deal with tech stuff, but we try not to make it sound more complicated than it is. We have our fair share of stress when a project deadline is looming or something isn't working the way it should. Most of us have been working together for years, so there’s a lot of joking around to keep the mood light. We don’t have a fancy reception area with someone waiting to take your coat. You just walk in and someone will probably look up from their screen to help you. It’s a very hands-on environment. We spend a lot of time testing things and then re-testing them. It’s just how it goes in this line of work. We’re just a group of people who enjoy the technical side of things and happen to have an office in a busy part of Guindy. It keeps us on our toes and we like that it's not too quiet.
