The stairs are a bit narrow, and it can be a climb if you're carrying things, but that’s just how these old buildings are. We’ve been in this spot for quite some time. The street downstairs is always full of life and chaos, which makes our office feel a bit like a retreat once you get up here. It’s not a large space, but it’s enough for what we do. We have desks piled with papers and samples scattered around. It’s a working environment, not a showroom. We don't spend money on fancy furniture or modern lighting. Most of the time, we’re on the phone or talking to people who drop by. Being on the second floor means we see the tops of the trucks and the bustling crowds from our windows. It gives us a different perspective on the neighborhood. We’ve grown fond of this little corner of Govindappa Naick Street. We don't have a big staff, just a few of us who have known each other for years. We handle our trades, keep our books, and make sure everything is in order. It’s a simple, honest way to spend the day. No one here puts on any acts. We’re just traders doing our bit in the city, day in and day out, without any fuss.
