Shre Vishnu Chemicals

Our place, Shre Vishnu Chemicals, is tucked away at 6 Jeevanandam Street in the Periyar Nagar area, specifically within Jawahar Nagar and Annai Anjugam Nagar. It is a bit of a maze back here if you are not from around this part of town. We have barrels and containers stacked up in the yard and the smell of various materials is always hanging in the air. It is not a job for someone who is afraid of getting their clothes dirty or moving heavy drums around. We spend a lot of time checking labels and making sure everything is stored where it should be. The street is narrow, so when a delivery truck comes, everything else has to stop for a bit while we unload. We have a small office space where we handle the billing and talk to the guys who supply us. It is often a bit messy with paperwork and samples sitting on the counters. We don't have any big corporate goals; we just want to make sure the orders are filled and the stock is handled safely. Some days are slow and we just sit around the entrance talking, but other days we are running from morning until night trying to keep up. It is a decent living and we know most of the other shop owners on Jeevanandam Street pretty well by now. We just do our thing and stay out of trouble.
