Shaalin (I)

Shaalin (I) is tucked away at 31, Raghunayakulu Street. If you know the area, you know how narrow the streets can get around here. We have to be really careful when we’re moving boxes because there’s just not much room to spare. Our building isn't new, and the stairs are a bit creaky, but it serves us well enough. Most of our day is spent handling inventory and talking to folks who stop by. We aren't some big multinational with a glass front. We’re just a small group of people in a busy part of the city. There’s always someone shouting outside or a bike zooming past the door. Inside, it’s a bit quieter, but there’s always a stack of paperwork or something to be sorted. We’ve been at this address for a while now, and we know the tea seller on the corner by name. It’s the kind of place where you know your neighbors and help each other out if a delivery gets stuck. We don't use any complicated systems; we just write things down and make sure we don't lose the notes. It’s a bit old-fashioned, maybe, but it’s how we’ve always done it. We just focus on the day-to-day tasks and try to make sure we don’t run out of stock when someone needs it. It’s simple, steady work in a crowded street and we don't mind the noise.
