I work from 52, Anjaneyar Kovil Street in Poonamalli. Chennai can be incredibly hot, especially when you're sitting in front of a computer all day long. The street gets a bit busy because of the temple nearby, so there is often the sound of bells and people chatting outside. I do software engineering from here. It’s just me and a laptop mostly, though I have a second screen that flickers a bit when it gets too warm. The address is 600 056. I’ve lived here for a long time now. My desk faces a small window, so I can see people walking by while I work. It’s a normal house, nothing special about the outside at all. Sometimes the internet acts up when it rains heavily, which is typical for Chennai during the monsoon season. I write code, fix bugs, and sometimes just stare at the screen for hours trying to find a mistake. It’s a quiet life if you don’t count the traffic noise from the main road. Poonamalli is a good area, though it’s getting more crowded every year. I try to keep my workspace organized, but papers and old notebooks tend to pile up. I don't have a big staff or any assistants. It's just a local operation run out of a spare room. You get used to the sounds of the street while you're working on logic problems. It’s just how I’ve set things up for myself. It works for what I need to do every day and it is home.
