We are located at 46/49 in Gulam Towers, which is on R.K. Salai in the Royapettah area. It’s a well-known building, so most people don't have trouble getting here. Selmax Exports is a small team and we’ve been operating out of this office for several years. Royapettah is a lively part of the city and there’s always something going on outside our windows. We focus on exporting goods, which involves a lot of back-and-forth emails and phone calls at odd hours because of the time differences. Our office is functional—lots of computers, a printer that sometimes jams, and a small table where we have our lunch. We don’t have a big corporate setup with a lot of hierarchy. We just all pitch in to get the work finished. Sometimes it gets a bit stressful when a shipment is delayed, but we just deal with it as best as we can. We aren't into making big promises or using a lot of buzzwords. We just want to do our job well and keep things moving. The Gulam Towers building is pretty busy with other businesses too, so there’s a nice mix of people in the elevators. We’ve made a few friends in the neighboring offices over the years. It’s just a normal, hardworking place where we try to stay organized and get our exports out to the world as efficiently as we can manage each day. It's a lot of work but we like it.
