We are located out at Plot No.59 in the Perungudi industrial estate area. It gets pretty busy around here during the day with all the trucks and people moving about. We handle horological work, which basically means we deal with clocks and timing pieces all day long. It is a lot of small parts and tiny screws that can be a real headache if you drop them on the floor. Most of us have been sitting at these benches for quite a few years now. The workshop isn't anything fancy to look at, just some sturdy tables and the tools we need to get things moving again. Sometimes it gets a bit warm in the afternoons, but we just keep at it until the sun starts to go down. People come to us when their timepieces aren't behaving right or when they need something specific put together. It is quiet work mostly, just the sound of tools clicking and the hum of the fans overhead. We try to stay organized but with so many small components, the desks usually look a bit messy by Friday. We have been in this part of Perungudi for a while so we know the local chai wallahs and the other neighbors pretty well. There isn't any big corporate mystery here, just a group of people who know how to work with their hands and fix things that tick. We just show up, do the work, and head home like everyone else.
