If you head over to D-30 on the 3rd Main Road of the Ambattur Industrial Estate, you’ll find Elta Tools & Dies. It’s a no-nonsense kind of place. We specialize in making tools and dies, which is a lot of precise, often tedious work, but we enjoy it. The Ambattur area is always alive with the sound of industry, and our shop is no exception. We have been here for a while now, and the workspace reflects that. There are stacks of metal everywhere and the smell of oil is pretty much permanent. We don’t have a receptionist or a glossy brochure to hand out. Usually, when someone comes by, one of us has to wipe our hands on a rag before we can shake hands. We focus on the tiny details because that’s what matters in tool making. A millimeter off can ruin a whole project, so we spend a lot of time hovering over the machines. The 3rd Main Road is usually busy with deliveries, but inside our unit, we try to keep things organized. It’s not always easy, but we manage. We aren't looking to become a giant corporation; we just want to keep making good dies for the people who need them. It’s simple, honest work that keeps us coming back to the estate every morning. Elta Tools & Dies is just us doing what we know.
