Sarathy Exports

We are located at Sarathy Exports, which is Plot No. 24 on the 20th Street Extension in Korattur. It’s a bit of a quiet corner compared to the main roads, which we like. The building is basically a large shed where we store the goods we are getting ready for export. We spend most of our time checking the quality of the items and packing them into sturdy boxes. It is repetitive work, but it has to be done carefully every single time. The floor is usually covered with tape, bubble wrap, and cardboard scraps. During the rainy season, we have to be really careful about leaks because the roof is a bit old. We have a few long tables where we do the sorting. The staff mostly lives in and around Korattur, so we have a good local crew. It’s often very humid, so we keep the big doors open to catch any breeze that comes through. We don't have a lot of fancy equipment, just some scales and packing machines. Most of the business is handled by word of mouth or through long-term contacts. We have a small area partitioned off for the computer and the paperwork. It’s a very plain, functional space. We arrive early, do the work, and try to get the containers loaded before the sun goes down. That is how we keep things moving here.
