Sai Systems & Services is based at A-8 Venkatesan Salai in Periyar Nagar. We are really close to the Perambur Loco Railway Station. You can hear the trains passing by all day long, which is something you just get used to after a week. The building is old but it stays relatively cool despite the Chennai heat. We handle a lot of different service jobs here. It’s not a polished corporate environment. There are usually parts scattered on the main table and a couple of tea cups sitting around. People from the railway quarters often drop in because we’re so close. We don't have a big sign or a fancy website. Most of our work comes from people walking by on their way to the station or neighbors who know us from the area. The dust from the trains and the road means we have to wipe down the equipment every single morning. It’s a bit of a repetitive chore but it’s necessary. We don’t have a mission statement or anything like that. We just open up the shutters, see what needs to be fixed, and get to work. Sometimes the power cuts out and we just sit outside on the steps until it comes back. It’s a slow, steady way of doing business in a very busy part of town. We just focus on what’s in front of us each day.
