Zee Casuals

Zee Casuals is over at No. 35 on Adam Street in Royapuram. The building has an old number, 11, which sometimes confuses the delivery drivers when they first come by. Royapuram is an older part of town, and you can feel that history when you walk down the street. Our shop is pretty basic. We have rows of shirts and pants on hangers, and we try to keep them sorted by size, though they always end up mixed up by the afternoon. The ceiling fan wobbles a bit, but it does its job of keeping the place from getting too stuffy. We get a lot of local guys coming in who just want something decent to wear for work or a night out. We don't do anything too trendy or strange. The light from the front door is the best part of the shop, as the back area stays a bit dark. We’ve been on Adam Street for a while now, and we know the patterns of the neighborhood. We know when the school kids will pass by and when the evening rush will start. It’s a quiet kind of life most of the time. We spend a lot of time folding and refolding clothes that people have looked through. It’s just honest work in a neighborhood that hasn't changed much in years. We like it that way because it feels familiar.
