Rekha Rubber Products

We have our shop, Rekha Rubber Products, located at 3/805 Mount Batton Street in Mettukuppam. It’s just off the Old Mahabalipuram Road, which most people call the IT Highway these days. Even though there are a lot of big glass buildings and tech companies around us, we are a pretty traditional rubber business. We deal with all sorts of rubber items, from gaskets to custom molded pieces. The workshop can get quite warm during the summer months, but we have fans going to keep the air moving. It’s a bit of a contrast to the fancy offices down the road, as we have piles of raw rubber and old machinery instead of computers and cubicles. We’ve been at this Mettukuppam location for a while now and have seen the highway get busier every year. Traffic is always a bit of a headache when we are trying to get deliveries in or out. Most of our customers are local factories or repair shops that need specific rubber parts quickly. We don’t have a marketing team or a glossy brochure. If you walk in, you’ll probably find one of us covered in a bit of dust from the grinding machine or sorting through a bin of finished parts. We just focus on making things that last and getting through the day’s work without too much trouble. It’s a simple, honest way to make a living.
