Ramya Ortho Clinic

If you stand outside our door at No 55 Velachery Main Road, you can see the Dhandeeswaram Bus Stop right across from us. It’s a busy part of Puzhudhivakkam, and there is almost always a crowd waiting for the next bus. We’re also quite close to the Yoga Narshimar Koil, so on festival days, the whole area gets really packed with people and traffic. Inside the clinic, things are a bit more contained, but you can still hear the horns honking outside. We spend our mornings setting up the exam rooms and checking the schedule. Most of the people who come in are locals who’ve lived in this part of town for years. They come in with their various aches or injuries, and we do our best to get them through the process without too much of a wait. The clinic isn't very large, so we all work pretty closely together. Sometimes the waiting area gets a bit cramped when a few families arrive at the same time, but everyone usually finds a spot. We don’t have a big corporate team; it’s just us here making sure the files are in order and the equipment is ready for use. We deal with the usual stuff like broken light bulbs or a computer that’s acting slow. It’s a basic, functional space where the focus is just on the daily tasks at hand. We see the same people at the bus stop every evening when we close up and head home for the night.
