Ganga Hospital

Our building is right on Anna Street, specifically at number 11 in Sasthiri Nagar. If you know the Anna Nagar area well, you’ve probably walked past our gates a few times. It’s a bit of a maze around here with all the small streets, but we are right there in the middle of it. The hospital stays busy pretty much around the clock. We have people coming in at odd hours, mostly folks from the neighborhood who know we are close by. It’s a practical sort of place. We don’t have those big shiny lobbies you see in the new city hospitals, but we have enough beds and the equipment works. The nurses have been with us a long time and they know most of the local families by name. Sometimes the street gets blocked by delivery trucks, which can be a headache, but we manage. We handle all sorts of cases, from high fevers to accidents. It’s a lot of paperwork, honestly, more than I’d like. But that's just how running a hospital goes. We try to keep the floors scrubbed and the lights bright. The tea shop across the street is where most of us go when we get a break. It's just a local hospital doing what it needs to do for the people living nearby in Sasthiri Nagar. We don't make a big fuss about things, we just focus on the patients who are currently in the beds.
