If you ever find yourself walking down 1st Main Road in Adyar you might see our sign at No. 3/2. This is where Ramya Fashion Jewellery operates. It is not a huge glass-fronted store like you see in the mall. It is actually quite small inside but we pack a lot into the space. We have boxes of beads and metal bits everywhere. Sometimes it feels like there isn't enough room to move but we manage. I started this because I liked putting things together and it just grew from there. Indra Nagar is a nice area and the neighbors are friendly enough. We spend most of our mornings sorting through new stock that arrives. Not every piece is perfect right away so we spend time checking things over. It gets a bit messy on the worktables especially when we are working on multiple things at once. We don't do big advertisements or anything. Most people find us because they live nearby or heard about us from a friend. The lighting in the back room isn't the best but we make it work. It’s just me and a couple of others helping out. We keep the doors open when the weather is nice to let a breeze in. It is a humble little spot. We don't pretend to be high-end. We just provide what we have and hope it’s what people are looking for today.
