Rahul Chem

Rahul Chem is located on Dr. Alagappa Road. Our office is in the old building number 15, which people now call new number 43. It’s a bit confusing for delivery drivers and new visitors sometimes. Operating from this same spot has been the way for a long time. The street outside can get quite busy and noisy during the day. We mostly handle chemical products for local businesses in the city. It’s not a glamorous job, but the work is important. A lot of time is spent checking drums and various containers in the storage area. Making sure everything is labeled correctly is a big part of the daily routine. The office part of the building is small and a bit cluttered with old files and ledgers. We don't really mind the mess. It feels like home after so many years of working here. Knowing the other shop owners on Dr. Alagappa Road makes the day go faster. Sometimes we all go out for tea when things are quiet in the afternoon. Expanding into some massive company isn't something we want. Keeping it at this size makes it easier to manage everything ourselves. Being helpful when people call with questions about different chemicals is what we try to do. Flashy sales talk doesn't happen here. If we have the stock, we tell them the price. If we don't, we just say so honestly. That’s just the way we do things at Rahul Chem. The rain sometimes leaks a bit near the back door, but a bucket fixes it.
