We are based at 131 Anna Pillai Street in Sowcarpet. If you’ve ever walked through Sowcarpet, you know it’s one of the busiest parts of the city. The streets are narrow, and there are people and carts everywhere. Our shop is right in the middle of all that chaos. We deal in chemicals, and our space is filled with containers and ledgers. It’s an old building, the kind where the walls have a lot of history. We don’t have air conditioning in most parts, just old ceiling fans that hum all day. It gets hot, especially in the afternoons. We aren't a high-tech firm. We still do a lot of things by hand and keep our records in thick books sometimes. The people who work here are like family. We’ve known each other for a long time. Customers come in, we have a bit of a chat, and we get them what they need. There’s no formal process or corporate red tape. You just tell us what you're looking for, and we see if we have it in stock. Sometimes we don't, and we tell you that straight up. We don't try to sell people things they don't need. It’s just an honest trade. Being on Anna Pillai Street means we are part of the daily life of this market. It’s noisy and crowded, but it’s our home.
