R. D. Agriculture & Engineering Works

R. D. Agriculture & Engineering Works is down at 1/216 on Kurinchi Malai Street. Surya Nagar is a quiet enough place compared to the main city. The street is narrow, and sometimes it is hard for two cars to pass each other. We have our workspace set up in a way that makes sense to us, even if it looks a bit cluttered to an outsider. There is a lot of iron and steel around. The walls are a bit stained from years of work. We open the shutters early to let the morning air in. Surya Nagar has a lot of trees, so you hear birds even over the sound of the tools. Kurinchi Malai Street isn't a place many people stumble upon by accident. Usually, if you are here, you are looking for something specific. We spend our hours at 1/216 fixing things and putting parts together. My hands are usually a bit greasy by lunchtime. We sit on plastic chairs out front when we need a break. The neighbors are mostly families who have lived here for a long time. R. D. Agriculture & Engineering Works doesn't have a big fancy sign. We just have the name painted near the door. It’s a simple setup. We don't need much more than our tools and a bit of space to move. When the sun goes down, the street gets real quiet, and we lock up for the night. We will be back tomorrow morning to start over again.
