Vani Paper Plate

Vani Paper Plate is located at 3/244 Jj Nagar, specifically in the Vettrilaithottam area of Seneerkuppam, Poonamalle. We spend our whole day around paper and pressing machines. The machines make a rhythmic thumping sound that you get used to after a few hours of working. We take the raw material and turn it into plates that people use for food at parties or stalls. It is a very straightforward process but it requires us to stand on our feet for a long time. The workshop can get a bit stuffy, so we usually have the big fans going at full speed. We stack the plates in big towers before they get packed into plastic bags for delivery. There are always scraps of paper on the floor that we have to sweep up at the end of every shift. Poonamalle is a busy hub, and being in Jj Nagar means we have plenty of neighbors around us. We don't have a big corporate office or anything like that. It’s just a production space where we do the work. We don't talk much about "visions" or "goals" or anything like that. We just focus on making sure the plates are pressed correctly and that they don't have any flaws. It is simple, honest work that keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday. When the day is done, we lock up the shop and head home through the local streets. It is our daily life.
