Excel Printers

You can find us at No. 14/1 on Ellaiamman Koil Street. We’re pretty close to Vivekananda School in Thiruvottiyur, so there are always kids and parents walking by when the school bells ring. Excel Printers is basically a local shop where we spend most of our waking hours. It’s not a polished corporate office with glass walls or fancy carpets. Instead, it’s a place that smells like paper and ink most of the time. The machines take up a lot of space and they make a fair bit of noise when we are busy with a run. We’ve been in this part of Thiruvottiyur for some time and the locals generally know where we are. It’s a narrow street, so parking can be a bit of a headache for us sometimes, but we manage to make it work. We aren't a big team, just a few of us handling the daily tasks that come through the door. We don't have a marketing department or anything like that. We just focus on the printing and making sure the machines don't jam up too often. The building itself is older, and it has its quirks, like the way the front door sticks when the weather gets too hot. We just go about our business and keep things simple. It’s a straightforward way to earn a living. We see the same faces every morning at the tea stall around the corner. That’s just the life here.
