We are located at 22 77 Chittirai Street in Chinmaya Nagar, Stage 2. It is right in the Virugambakkam area of Chennai. The office is basically where we spend most of our waking hours working on software projects for Polaris. It is not a very fancy place, but it gets the job done and the air conditioning usually works well enough to beat the heavy Chennai heat. We have been here for a while and most of us know the local tea stalls by heart. The street can get a bit noisy during the day with the traffic and the people walking by, but inside it is mostly just the sound of keyboards clicking and some low conversation. We are on the second stage of the neighborhood, which is a bit quieter than the main roads. It is a practical spot for us because most of the staff can get here without too much trouble. We don’t really do big meetings or anything corporate like that; we just sit down, do our coding or testing, and then head home. Sometimes the internet acts up when it rains, but that is just part of living in this city. We like the area because there are good food options nearby for lunch. It feels like a real part of the community rather than some isolated office park. If you happen to be around Virugambakkam, you will probably see our sign on Chittirai Street near the corner.
