If you go down Ramachandra Iyer Street in T Nagar, you’ll find us sitting at No 2. Pleasant Refrigeration & Airconditioning Pvt Ltd is located right near the Muppathamman Temple. It’s a very busy part of the city, especially during the festival times when the streets get blocked off. We spend a huge amount of our time dealing with cooling units that have stopped working in the local heat. Our workshop is usually full of heavy tools, spare parts, and lengths of copper tubing. It gets pretty hot inside the shop, which is funny when you think about what we do for a living. We’ve been working out of this T Nagar location for quite some time now. The street can be very narrow at times, so parking the service vans is always a bit of a challenge for us and the neighbors. We know most of the people who live and work around this block. Most days are spent either on the road visiting sites or fixing motors in the back of the shop. We don't have a fancy showroom with bright lights. It's a real working space where things get greasy and dusty. Sometimes we grab a quick coffee from the small stall nearby while we wait for a specific part to arrive. Dealing with air conditioning and fridges is hard, sweaty work, but it keeps us busy. The temple nearby provides a nice atmosphere for us while we work through the day's repair list and take some phone calls.
