P.K. Mohammed & Co

We have been here at 91, M.T.H. Road for a long time now. Mannurpet is a busy spot, and our shop is right in the middle of all that activity. It is a plain building, nothing fancy at all, but it gets the job done for us. Most days start early here. We open up the metal shutters, clear the dust from the front step, and get things ready for whoever might stop by that morning. P.K. Mohammed & Co is just a small team of us working together. We handle the paperwork, take care of the inventory, and make sure everything moves along like it should. It is not always quiet, especially with all the heavy traffic on M.T.H. Road, but we are used to the noise by now. Sometimes the rain makes the road a real mess, and we have to spend extra time cleaning the entrance. Inside, we have our desks and some old shelves filled with files. We do not have a big reception area or a coffee machine for visitors. People usually just come in, tell us what they need, and we sort it out. It is a practical way to work. We have known the neighbors for years, and we often chat while getting tea from the stall nearby. There isn’t much to say about our history other than we stayed put and kept working through the seasons. We just focus on the daily tasks and make sure the logs are kept straight.
