Pavithra Telecom

We've been running Pavithra Telecom here on Dr Besant Road for a good while now. Our spot is right near the Ice House Mosque in Royapettah, which makes it pretty easy for people to find us even when the traffic gets bad. It’s a small shop, nothing too fancy, just enough space for the counters and all the mobile accessories we keep in stock. Most days start around ten in the morning when the shutters go up. We see a lot of the same faces from around the neighborhood. People stop by for all sorts of things, maybe a new tempered glass for their screen or just to get a quick recharge done. The street outside is always noisy with buses and bikes going past, but we got used to that a long time ago. Sometimes the afternoon gets a bit slow, especially when it’s really hot out, so we just sit under the fan and wait for the evening rush. It’s mostly regular work, fixing small glitches or explaining how a new phone works to someone who isn't very tech-savvy. We don't try to overcomplicate things here. We just handle the business as it comes, making sure we have what people need in the drawers. It feels good being part of the Royapettah community for so many years. You get to know the families and the local kids who grow up and then start coming in for their own phone stuff. That’s just how it goes here.
