Deluxe Lining

We are over at Deluxe Lining, which is on Poonamallee High Road in Aminjikarai. The address says old number 720 but the new one is 494. We are very close to the Tolgate bus stand, so you can always hear the conductors shouting and the buses pulling in and out. It’s a very loud spot to work in, but we like being where the action is. We mostly work on the interior linings for vehicles. Whether it is a car seat that has a tear or someone wants a fresh look for their ceiling liner, we take care of it here. We have rolls of material leaning against the walls and the smell of adhesive is usually pretty strong in the shop. It is a hands-on job and our hands are usually a bit dirty from the work by noon. We don't have a fancy showroom. It's just a workshop where we get things done. People leave their cars with us or just bring in the seats for us to recover. We’ve been here long enough that people recognize us as they walk to the bus stand. The space is a bit cramped once you get a few sets of seats in here, but we manage to find room. We don't use any fancy machines, just the standard tools and our own experience. It’s honest work and we stay busy from the time we open until the sun goes down.
