Omate Technologies Ltd operates out of Kurunji Flats, specifically H-68, G/2. We are located in Thiruvalluvar Nagar, which is a busy part of Thiruvanmiyur in Chennai. It’s a residential area, so the office feels more like a home than a big glass corporate building. We have a few desks set up in the main room and computers running all day long. Sometimes the internet acts up when it rains, but we manage to get the work done eventually. Being in a flat means we have to be mindful of the neighbors when we have late nights or loud discussions. It’s a bit of a walk from the main road through the narrow lanes, but not too bad once you know the way. The address can be a little confusing for couriers because of the block numbers, but they usually find us at G/2 after a phone call. We handle various tech tasks here, mostly sitting in front of screens and typing away at code or reports. There is always a pot of tea brewing in the small kitchen area for anyone who needs a break. We don't have a receptionist or any formal greeting area. If someone knocks, one of us just gets up and opens the door. It’s a casual environment with no suits or ties. We just focus on the projects we have on our plate. Chennai weather can be really tough in May, but the air conditioning keeps the equipment from overheating. We’ve been based in Thiruvanmiyur for a while and like the quiet vibe of this neighborhood.
