We are located in the Gilly Flower Apartment complex, specifically in G46 on the third floor. It’s part of the L Block over on 23rd Street. The building is a bit older and has that lived-in feel to it. Getting up to the third floor is part of our daily exercise. The apartment isn't huge, but it has enough rooms for us to keep our different projects separated. We use the main living area as our primary workspace where the biggest tables are. The 23rd Street neighborhood is mostly residential, so it stays relatively quiet compared to the main roads, which we appreciate when we’re trying to focus. You can hear the sounds of the neighborhood, kids playing or someone selling something on the street, drifting up through the windows. We’ve been in G46 for a while and have made the space our own, even if it still looks like an apartment in some ways. There are shelves filled with books and folders everywhere. It’s a bit cramped when we have a lot of stuff going on at once, but we make it work. We don't have a receptionist, so usually, whoever is closest to the door just gets up to open it. It’s a very informal setup, just a group of us working away in a quiet block of the city. We have a small kitchen area where we make tea and chat for a bit during our breaks.
