Our place at 47 Mannady Street is right in the middle of everything. O. T. K. Shamsudeen & Sons has been part of this street for quite some time. If you know Mannady, you know it gets crowded and loud, but that’s just how it is. We work out of this shop and it’s usually full of things piled up. It's a family thing, passed down, so there's a lot of history in these walls. We aren't trying to be anything we aren't. Mostly, we just talk to the regulars and handle the daily trade. The street outside is always moving, people pushing carts and bikes everywhere. Sometimes it's hard to find a spot to stand, let alone park. But we like the energy of Mannady. O. T. K. Shamsudeen & Sons isn't a modern office with glass walls. It's more of a traditional setup where we keep our ledgers and talk to customers face to face. We've seen neighbors come and go over the decades. The building at number 47 has its quirks, like the narrow doorway and the way the light hits the front in the morning. We just open up early and stay until the work is done. It’s a simple life, really. We don’t do much advertising because everyone around here already knows where to find us. Just look for the sign on Mannady Street. It gets the job done and we are happy staying right here.
