Nungambakkam is always a hive of activity, and Jambulingam Street is no different. We are at No. 27/1, which is a solid spot for Velavan Impex Pvt. Ltd. to be. There is always a lot of traffic nearby, so we hear the honking of horns all day long. Inside, we try to keep things a bit more organized, though it doesn't always work out that way. There are files everywhere because we handle quite a bit of work. We aren't a huge team, but we stay busy from morning until late evening. Sometimes we stay late to finish up things that didn't get done during the day. The office isn't anything special to look at, just some desks and computers and a fridge that makes a humming sound. We get our lunch from the small places nearby. It’s just how things go. We handle the import-export side of things and it involves a lot of patience. You have to wait for a lot of people to say yes before anything moves. We don't have a mission statement on the wall or anything like that. We just know what needs to be done and we try to do it. It’s a simple business life here in Nungambakkam. We’ve been here long enough that we know most of the people on the street, which makes it feel a bit more like home.
