Jo Jo Store

Jo Jo Store is on New Street in Mylapore. It’s a small place that has been around for a long time. People in the neighborhood know us well. New Street is quite narrow, so you mostly see people walking by or riding cycles. We have a lot of different items on the shelves, from household things to small snacks. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze inside Jo Jo Store but we manage to fit everything in. We don’t have a website or any social media pages. We just like to talk to our customers when they come in. Mylapore is a busy area with a lot of temples and history. We feel like we are part of that history in our own small way. The shop has an old wooden counter that has been there since we started. Sometimes the ceiling fan makes a clicking sound but it still works fine. We don't have a big grand plan for the future. We just want to keep the store open and help the people who live on New Street. We open early every day and close once it gets dark. It’s a simple routine and it suits us. We don't use any fancy marketing tricks. If we have what you need, we sell it to you. That’s all there is to it. It's a quiet, honest way to make a living in a busy city and we hope to be here for more years.
