Started here a long time back on New Street. My father and brothers worked here first. Puliyurpuram has changed a lot since then. We open the shutters early morning when the milk delivery passes by. There is a lot of dust on the road because of the construction nearby in Kodambakkam. Most days it is just us managing the inventory and talking to folks who stop in. We keep things simple. The office is small and the fan makes a bit of noise in the afternoon heat. It gets busy around noon. We don’t have fancy furniture or a big sign. Just the name plate on 24/1. Sometimes the neighbors come by for a quick chat about the weather. We do our work and go home. That is how it has been for years now. I remember when the street was much quieter. Now there are bikes everywhere. We deal with what comes our way. Not much to say really. We are just here doing what we do. The accounts are still kept in big registers mostly. It feels more real that way. If you walk down New Street you will see us. We are right there where we have always been. Just a family business trying to get through the day's tasks. It works for us and the people around here. We aren't trying to be something we are not.
