We operate out of No 18 on 12th Avenue in Ashok Nagar. It’s a nice part of the city with plenty of trees lining the streets. Our building is easy to spot once you turn onto the avenue. It’s a two-story structure that has seen its fair share of Chennai summers. We’ve got the ground floor mostly used for storage and moving things in and out. The upstairs is where the desks and computers are. It’s always a bit cooler up there with the AC running. The stairs are narrow, so we have to be careful when we’re carrying boxes up and down. We have a small kitchenette where we keep our water bottles and tiffin boxes. Ashok Nagar is a busy place, but 12th Avenue feels a bit tucked away from the main traffic of the 100 Feet Road. You can still hear the city, but it’s more like a dull hum in the background. We don’t have any fancy art on the walls, just some calendars and notes pinned up everywhere. The furniture is a bit mismatched, collected over the years as we grew. It feels comfortable, like a second home for most of us who spend eight or nine hours a day here. We keep a regular schedule, opening up at nine and heading home as the sun starts to set. It’s a solid place to work, surrounded by a neighborhood that feels lived-in and real. Most days are just about checking things off.
