Our Chennai office for Huntsman Advanced Materials India Pvt Ltd is over at No.7/6, Demonte Street in Santhome. It’s a great part of town, very close to the coast. You can sometimes catch a bit of a breeze from the sea, which helps with the Chennai heat. The office is on a street that feels very old and established. It’s not a shiny new skyscraper. We work out of a building that has a lot of character, even if the stairs are a bit narrow and the paint is peeling in a few corners. We handle the materials side of things here, so there’s always a lot of technical talk going on. Most of us have worked together for a long time, so we’re like a small family. We have a little area where we keep the kettle and some biscuits for the afternoon break. The sounds of Santhome, with the church nearby and the local traffic, are always in the background. We don't have any polished marketing slogans or big mission statements. We just show up on Demonte Street every morning and do our best to solve the problems on our desks. Sometimes we stay late when things get busy, but usually, we’re out in time to see the evening sky. It’s a plain, hardworking office in a beautiful part of Chennai. It’s not fancy, but we get the job done right.
