My Kitchen Gallery

Our shop is right on Walltax Road, near the Elephant Gate Police Station in Sowcarpet. If you know that area, you know how packed it gets. My Kitchen Gallery is basically a big collection of everything you’d ever need for a kitchen, but it’s not all pretty like a magazine. We have boxes stacked in corners and pots hanging from the walls. People come in looking for a specific size of pan or a spare part for an old stove, and we usually have it buried somewhere. It’s a lot of work keeping track of everything. The noise from the street is constant—horns, people shouting, the usual Sowcarpet chaos. We’ve been here at No.327 for a long time, and the police station next door is a good landmark for people who get lost. We don't use a lot of fancy sales talk. If a stove is good, we tell you. If it’s not right for what you need, we tell you that too. It’s just about being helpful and making sure people leave with what they actually came for. Some days are slow and we just sit and drink tea, and other days we can't even see the floor because there are so many customers. It’s a busy, dusty, loud life, but it’s ours and we’re used to it.
