Mihiraa Associates

Mihiraa Associates is located at T-47/A on 7th Avenue in Adyar. It is a nice part of Chennai with lots of trees, though it gets very hot in the afternoons. Our office is in a building that has been here for years. It is not one of those glass towers you see in the IT parks. We have old-fashioned wooden desks and chairs that creak when you sit down. We handle a lot of paperwork and consulting stuff from here. The doorbell rings quite often with couriers or people just dropping in to ask questions. We do not have a professional receptionist. Whoever is closest to the door just gets up and answers it. We keep a stash of snacks in the bottom drawer because we often work through lunch. We are just a few people trying to keep up with all the regulations and filings. Sometimes the internet goes down and we just sit around and talk until it comes back. We do not have a corporate culture or team-building retreats. We just know each other’s families and help out when someone needs a day off. It is a very local feel. We like being in Adyar because everything we need is just around the corner. It is a simple setup and we like it that way. We do not need a fancy lobby to do good work.
