Our office is over in Egmore, specifically on the 4th floor of the Khaleel Shiraji Estate at 298 Patheon Road. It’s a well-known building in this area, and being on the 4th floor means we have a decent view of the street below, though the lift can be a bit slow sometimes. We’ve been based here for a good number of years. It’s a busy spot in Chennai, so there is always a lot of traffic and people moving around outside. Inside the office, it’s mostly just us engineers and the support staff working through piles of drawings and technical data. We aren't much for fancy office layouts or modern art on the walls. We have our drafting tables, our computers, and plenty of coffee to keep us going. The building itself is older, but it’s sturdy and it feels like a real place of work. We spend a lot of time discussing projects and trying to solve problems that come up. It’s not always easy, but we’ve been doing it long enough that we have a good rhythm. We don’t really put on any acts for clients; what you see is what you get. Just a group of people who know their way around engineering and want to do a decent job. After work, we usually head down and navigate the Egmore traffic to get home, just like everyone else. It is just a regular day for us.
