Mayon Soft Private Limited is located at New No. 8 on Eswaran Koil Street in Selaiyur. People who have lived here a long time still call it Old No. 25, so we have to tell delivery drivers both numbers sometimes just to be sure they find us. The street is a typical one for this part of the city. There is a temple nearby, so we hear the sounds from there throughout the day. Our office is a modest space. We don't have a big lobby or a receptionist greeting people at the door. You just walk in and we are all right there at our desks. The furniture is a mix of stuff we’ve picked up over the years. Some of the chairs squeak a bit, but they are comfortable enough for a long day of work. We have a small area where we keep a water cooler and some tea supplies. It’s nothing special, but it gets the job done. The air conditioning works most of the time, which is a relief because Selaiyur can get very hot in the summer months. We don't have any big mission statements on the walls. We just come in, do our jobs, and go home. It’s a practical way to run a business. We like the location because it’s easy for most of us to get to by bus or bike. The neighborhood is mostly families, so it feels safe and calm.
