Mars Exports

We are tucked away in the 1st Lane of Nungambakkam High Road, at number 3. It’s easy to miss if you aren't looking for the sign. Mars Exports has been operating from here for a good while. The lane is narrow, so parking is always a headache for us and the neighbors. Inside, it’s mostly boxes and shelves. We deal with shipping goods out to different places. It’s a lot of logistics, making sure weights are right and labels are stuck on properly. Some days we are sweating because the AC is struggling, but the work doesn’t stop. We don’t use a lot of fancy software; a lot of things are still written down in ledgers because it feels safer that way. We have a couple of guys who handle the heavy lifting and a few of us in the office doing the talk. It’s a routine that we’ve perfected over the years. We aren't trying to be the biggest company out there. We just want to make sure the stuff we send out gets to where it’s going in one piece. Every now and then, a shipment gets delayed and we have to spend the whole day on the phone tracking it down. It’s part of the job. We drink a lot of coffee and keep moving. It's honest work and we've been doing it long enough to know the pitfalls and the shortcuts. We just keep our heads down and get through the shipping manifests.
