Marine Mercantile Company is located at New No. 30 on Maracoir Labbai Street. This area near the port has always been our home. It’s a place that smells like the sea and diesel, and there is always a truck blocking the road somewhere. Our office is in one of those older buildings where the rooms are high-ceilinged but the paint is peeling a bit. We handle supplies and bits of equipment for boats and ships. It’s a lot of heavy stuff and specific parts that you can’t just find anywhere. We don't have a fancy showroom. Most of our business happens over the phone or by people just walking in because they know we’ve been here for decades. The desks are heavy wood and have been here longer than I have. We keep track of things in big books as much as we use the computer. It’s a bit old-fashioned, but it works for us. Working in the maritime trade means you're always on the clock because ships don't wait for anyone. We’ve had long nights and very early mornings. We don't use big marketing words because our reputation is just built on showing up and having the right parts when they’re needed. It’s a simple, gritty business, and we wouldn't have it any other way. It’s just how things are done down here by the water.
