Our place is at 39, Taylors Road in Chennai. Being in the dairy business in a place as hot as this means we are always thinking about the temperature. Malbro Dairy Products Pvt. Ltd. is basically a hub for getting milk and cream out to where it needs to go. The building isn't anything special to look at, just a sturdy place that keeps the heat out. We spend a lot of time checking the gauges and making sure the cooling systems are running like they should. If a motor sounds weird, we’re on it immediately. It’s a lot of physical labor, moving heavy crates and washing down the floors. We don't have a big marketing department or people in fancy suits walking around. Most of us are in boots and work clothes because that’s what the job requires. The traffic on Taylors Road can be a nightmare in the morning, so we try to get our deliveries out as early as possible. Sometimes we’re tired, and the coffee in the breakroom isn't great, but the work is steady. We’ve been here for a while and the neighbors know our trucks. It is just a group of people making sure the dairy products get handled right before they reach the shops. No fluff, just the daily grind of the dairy industry. We don't have a lot of time for meetings that don't go anywhere. Most of the talking happens while we are standing up, moving between the storage and the dock.
