Malar Enterprises

Malar Enterprises is located on the first floor at 5 and 6, right on Velachery Main Road in Medavakkam. It is a busy stretch of road, so there is always the sound of horns and engines coming through the windows. Being on the first floor means we carry a lot of stuff up and down those stairs every day. Our space is filled with all sorts of items we supply, and it can feel a bit cramped when a new shipment arrives. We have a few desks squeezed in between the shelves where we handle the accounts and talk to people who drop in. It is a local operation through and through. Most of us live nearby, so we know the shortcuts to avoid the worst of the traffic when we are out on deliveries. We don't have a fancy showroom with bright lights. It is more of a functional workspace where things get sorted and sent out. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit there talking until the generator kicks in or the lights come back on. We know our regulars by name and they usually stop for a chat when they come to pick up their orders. It is a bit hectic at times, especially during the monsoon when the road floods, but we just keep things moving as best as we can. It is just us doing our daily business in the heart of Medavakkam year after year.
