Madras Foundry Technowork

Madras Foundry Technowork is located right in the middle of Parrys on Thambu Chetty Street. We are on the first floor of Plot No.299, so you have to head up the stairs to find us. This area is always loud and crowded with people moving goods back and forth. Our work involves a lot of technical details related to foundries, so we spend a lot of time looking at drawings and talking to site managers. It’s not the cleanest job, and our desks usually have bits of metal or dust on them. We’ve been at this for a good number of years. Sometimes the power goes out or the internet acts up, but that’s just part of being in an old part of the city. We don't have a big reception area or coffee machines for guests. Usually, people come in, we discuss the specs of the parts they need, and then we get to work. Dealing with the heat and the noise is just normal for us. We know most of the other shop owners on Thambu Chetty Street by now. It’s a rough and ready kind of life, but we like the technical side of it. Every project is a bit different, which keeps things from getting too boring. We just focus on the task in front of us and try to get the dimensions right every time. It’s mostly just hard work and attention to the small things.
