Limra Chemicals

Working at Limra Chemicals means spending our days in the Guindy Industrial Estate. We are located at C 21, which is one of the many units in this busy part of the city. There is always the sound of machinery and trucks idling nearby. The estate is a huge place, and it can be easy to get lost if you don't know your way around. Our unit is mostly filled with barrels and mixing tanks, leaving just a little bit of room for a small desk where we handle the paperwork. It gets quite humid here, and the industrial fans we use mostly just move the warm air around. We start our shift early to avoid the worst of the traffic coming into Guindy. Most of our work involves measuring out ingredients and making sure everything is mixed according to the instructions. It’s not the kind of job where you wear a suit; we’re usually covered in a bit of dust or whatever we are working with that day. We eat our lunch in the small break area or sometimes go out to one of the tea stalls nearby. The atmosphere in the industrial estate is always about getting things done and moving on to the next task. We’ve been at this unit for a while, and we’ve gotten used to the pace of life here. It’s just a lot of hard work and making sure the orders are ready for pickup.
