Our office is right near the Royapuram Over Bridge, which is a landmark most people in this part of Chennai know. Being on Rajaji Salai in Parrys means there is never a quiet moment. You can hear the vehicles going over the bridge all day long. Leap International has been operating from No 46 for quite some time now. It’s a busy spot, and sometimes finding parking nearby is a real headache for us and anyone coming by. We handle international stuff, mostly moving things across borders, which sounds more exciting than it actually is. Most of our day is spent looking at computer screens or talking to people at the port. The building itself is older, and you can feel the history of the area when you walk through the doors. We don't have those big reception desks you see in movies. It’s just us at our desks, surrounded by files and calendars marked with shipping dates. Parrys is the kind of place where business happens on the street as much as in the office. We like being close to the action even if the dust from the road gets everywhere. It’s a straightforward way to earn a living. We just keep our heads down and make sure the containers and packages are moving the way they are supposed to without too much trouble. It's a lot of coordination and simple hard work.
