The traffic on Poonamallee High Road never seems to stop, and we are right in the middle of it at number 34. Koyambedu is always a bit dusty and loud because of all the buses and trucks moving through. Our building is a bit old and doesn't look like much from the outside. Inside, it is just a plain workspace with some basic desks and chairs that have seen better days. We do different kinds of business ventures here. One morning we might be talking about a small real estate deal and the next it could be something totally unrelated. We don't have a fancy schedule that would look good on a website. It is mostly about answering the phone and talking to people who walk in. The floor is worn out in the spots where we walk back and forth. We don't have a receptionist sitting at a big desk. Usually, if the door opens, whoever isn't on the phone just looks up and says hello. It gets quite hot in the afternoons, but we just keep the fans running. We have been at this address for a long time. People in this part of Chennai know the building. We don't spend money on fancy decor or ads. We just show up, do our work, and head home when we are finished for the day. It’s a simple way to stay busy.
