Korea Trade Center/ Jeys Fi is located in Teynampet, on the second floor of the Ls Swamy Parvatham Block. The address is No. 463, right on Annasalai. If you’ve ever been to Annasalai, you know how the traffic is—it’s always crawling. Our office looks out over the street, so we spend a lot of time watching the buses go by while we’re on the phone. It’s a typical city office with fluorescent lights and lots of filing cabinets. We handle trade matters and paperwork, which means there’s always a printer humming somewhere. The elevator in the building is a bit slow, so most of us just take the stairs to the second floor. It’s a bit of a workout. We have a small kitchen area where we make coffee and talk about the news. It’s not a flashy place with modern art on the walls. It’s just where we come to work. Being in Teynampet is convenient for meetings, even if the noise from the street never really stops. We deal with a lot of international documents and coordination. Some days are just filled with endless emails and phone calls to different time zones. We keep a stack of old newspapers in the corner for no real reason. It’s just a regular office life in the middle of Chennai. The Ls Swamy Parvatham Block isn't the newest building, but it's where we manage our trade business every single day.
