Down at No. 18 Southmada Street in Kolathur, that is where you will find the Irs-agriexportz office. It is a plain, square building with nothing special to look at from the outside. We have been in this location long enough that the people living nearby do not even notice the trucks coming and going anymore. Our work is mostly about the logistics of getting products from the local farms into a shipping container. This involves a whole lot of checking labels and making sure the weight on the scales is exactly right. We have a small, dedicated crew here. We are not interested in trying to be the biggest company in the country. We just want to make sure the stuff we send out is in decent shape for the journey. Sometimes the paperwork gets backed up and we have to stay late into the evening to finish it all. Kolathur is a good spot for us because it is convenient for getting around the city. Inside the office, it is mostly just a few wooden desks and some plastic chairs for whoever visits. We do not have any fancy posters or corporate decorations on the walls. To be honest, the place could probably use a new coat of paint. We focus much more on what is happening in the warehouse area. It is a very hands-on type of job. You definitely get dirty sometimes moving the heavy sacks around. Most of our business happens through old-fashioned phone calls and face-to-face meetings. It is just how we have always done it.
