Working at No 1 White India Building on Whites Road is quite something because it’s a very known spot in Royapettah. This place is where we handle the Maruti True Value side of things for Khivraj Motors. We spend a lot of time out in the yard checking over the cars that come in. People bring their old vehicles, and we have to go through everything, checking the engines and the bodywork to see what’s what. It’s a lot of paperwork and technical stuff that most people don't see. The building itself is quite large and stays busy throughout the day. We have a team of guys who are always on their feet, either talking to someone about a car or moving vehicles around to make space. The traffic on Whites Road can get really loud, especially in the afternoons. We see all kinds of people, from young families looking for their first car to older folks wanting something small and easy to drive. It’s not a fancy setup, just a practical office and a lot of cars parked outside. We drink a lot of tea from the stall nearby to keep going through the heat. It’s just how things are here in Royapettah. We focus on the cars and making sure the records are in order so there are no headaches later on for anyone involved. We are just here doing the daily work.
